Oxford Pride 2015

Crowd

How can we ask for the world to be inclusive of us without doing the same ourselves? And so the theme for Oxford Pride 2015 is Join With Us…it’s for everyone!

The festival will take place on 6 June. The location will be the Castle Quarter/Paradise Street.

Pride is now in the planning stages with new directors, and a whole new bunch of volunteers on the committee. If you want to get involved then contact us at oxford-pride.org.uk/getting-involved/volunteer. All our Committee meetings are open and both members and non-members are welcome to attend. Meetings usually take place at Oxford Town Hall, St Aldates, Oxford, OX1 1BX every third Tuesday of every month between 7pm and 9pm. To become a member of Oxford Pride it costs £1.00 which entitles you to voting rights at all meetings and other benefits from time to time. Membership expires 31 July 2015.

On Pride day we will have two stages. The main stage will run from 12-6/7pm with the second stage on Paradise Street running from 4/5-11pm.

In accordance with this year’s theme we’d like to have the most diverse year of acts ever. We want all sorts of acts – dancers, singers, rappers, brass bands, comedians, poets, etc. Acts can submit their interest to perform via the Pride website and we will be in contact with them as quick as we can.

LogoSo, whether it’s by simply attending on 6 June, becoming part of the committee, or performing on a Pride stage, join with us. This is Oxford Pride 2015…welcome!
