M ike and Neil had a very clear picture of what they wanted for their big day and Auberge du Lac on the Brocket Hall Estate in Hertfordshire delivered the perfect location for their wedding ceremony and reception in July this year.
‘We knew we wanted 
an intimate wedding for a party of our closest friends and family. As many of our guests were travelling from Scotland, Ireland and Spain we originally looked at venues in boutique hotels in London, but nothing matched our hopes for a stunning venue which could deliver a fine dining experience.’ Auberge du Lac combines beautifully prepared food with the stunning setting of the Brocket Hall Estate. Mike and Neil wanted a venue to take care of all the detail. Molly, the designated wedding coordinator, took care of everything and arranged flowers, the pianist and evening entertainment. Nothing was too much trouble and Molly was on hand at all times. The ceremony took place in the beautiful old wine cellar of the restaurant where Mike and Neil made their vows. After the ceremony, canapes and rose champagne were served on the terrace. Guests enjoyed views over the broadwater lake towards Brocket Hall. Then it was time for the main event and guests made their way through to dinner. Matt Edmonds, Head Chef, prepared a specially designed beautiful nine course tasting menu which blew guests away. With paired wines for each course, this was the fine dining experience of Mike and Neil’s dreams. The evening ended with cake cutting, speeches, dancing and a few more glasses of champagne on the terrace. A perfect end to a perfect day. ‘We have the most wonderful memories thanks to Molly, Matt and their teams. We could not have asked any more from them, they gave us everything we could have hoped for and more.’
